TIMP-1 protein refers to tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1, belonging to matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) regulators. TIMP-1 interacts with CD74, a receptor for macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF). And TIMP-1 activates the phosphorylation of AKT and ERK1/2, mediates serine/threonine kinases activation.
